FW: <VV> PG in a Corsa Dash - More questions

            Joe just helped my find an article in the Tech guide on the
Corsa dash PG combination. I was looking in the Electrical &
Speedometers section which seemed logical to me but the article is in
the Parts Interchangeability section. Milton Binon who wrote the article
did something very similar to what I want to do. Has anyone been
successful in retaining the chrome trim which houses the illuminated
RNDL indicator? Also I am not quite clear on what Milton did. He says
that he used a piece of 3/8" aluminum rod fitted into the channel at the
top of the panel opening, but looking at my car and dash I cannot figure
out where he put this rod. Also the article says he cut off some of the
shifter mounting but it does not say which part. I am sorry to be a bit
of a pain and want a lot of details. I want to do this job well without
making the whole thing look like a mess and without destroying some
expensive parts. Thank you!
