I have a project where I have to get robot parts powder coated to a
"proprietary" gray textured finish for a program sponsor. Only one shop in
the San Francisco area is currently set up to do this finish, and they won't
release info on the color and/or where they get it, but they also charge
exorbitantly and take up to 4 weeks to process work...and I can't afford the
down time.

?? Betcha there are 200 shops in San Francisco area that do powder coating,
and also bet some are hungry and would like to help you out ... we make a
product that we have outside powder coated, cost about $4 each part if we
prepare it ( 200 grit sanding to get a bond ) .
Or, send your parts ups to out of town if need be, ...

"aluminum" powder coating will give a sort of grey finish ... just talk nice
to your powder coater, a good one will like you to become a happy customer.
hope this helps, ken campbell, deltawerkes
