provide clues
Stage I mostly better breathing of the stock 140 -- intake and exhaust plus
likely did the same as John Fitch and advanced the timing from stock. Fitch
rated his at 155hp, Yenko used tuned headers thus 160 for stage I sound
about right for the day.
Stage II - higher compression , work on the carbs.
stage III - 40 over cylinders, yet higher compression likely other work
too.
The Yenko fans will have to answer with more details.

My March Communiqué finally arrived. I've been accusing the wife of hiding
it until I fixed the leaky toilet, like an operating flush toilet is more
important than working on a Corvair.
Anyway, I enjoyed the articles on the Yenkos and got to wondering. Can
anyone tell us, just what they did to get the different HP ratings? I'm not
interested so much in all the body modifications, but rather just what did
they do to the engines, especially the Stage I and IIs.
Just wondering,
Cliff Tibbitts
