Had a 67 Camaro with 4 piston calipers and the least grit or corrosion and 
they would get out of balance. Have probably improved some since but when 
the single piston (sliding caliper) brakes came out (1969 ?) on GM cars 
they made life a lot easier. Of course rear disks have always been a pain. 
Except for racing, disk front and drum rear is probably still the best combo.
