Given that blower bearings can sometimes go without warning, I'd
recommend a replacable (cartridge) style like American Pi sells thru
Clark's. It's more expensive than the stock bearing assembly, but you'll
never again have to worry about removing the engine top cover to replace
it. Be sure to press it to the prescribed height.
BTW, I've been replacing all my blower bearings with an earlier (Orville
Ellison designed) style. Though it requires cloverleafing the blower,
it's really slick. The difference in this one and the American Pi
bearing assembly is that the latter doesn't require blower modification.
