Starter:

Since it's the  normal rotation it uses a STANDARD Corvair starter  with just 
the last 2"  of the nose cone cut off......

Starter shaft  fits the V W  Bushing in the Transaxle perfectly!  [ as does 
the Pilot Bearing of the Vair fit the V W  input shaft! ].

The adapter is no longer available...but looks easy to make.....just a block 
of aluminum with the 2  VW  bolt holes and the BIG  center hole for the 
remains of the nosecone to slip into....held by 3 Allen set screws!

NOTE:  a reversed engine uses a STOCK  V W  Beetle starter..
