Some years ago, I attended the All American Sunday here in the
Netherlands, a show of American cars. I drove my tripple black '64 Spyder
Convertible and was told to follow the directions of the Crew. Several
crewmembers later I found myself in the parkinglot for spectators. It took
some effort and the support of a senior crewmember to make clear that my
elegant sportscar was as American as those other 1500 chromeheavy,
highwingend Yanktanks......;-)
My car was the only Corvair in the show (and the parkinglot)
