<VV> LM rear bearing - squeak gone

Thanks god VV is back, I was in a total panic!!

Anyway, this weekend the cause of the mysterious squeak was verified and repaired.  The outer wheel bearing race had broken and the little rollers didn't know what to do so they squeaked!  Mr. Smitty Smith (with a little help from me) changed out my rear wheel bearing - without a press!!!!  It can be done, I seen it with my own 2 eyes!   He had a fantastic special tool made that uses a plate and various threaded bits.  It went pretty well I think.  I put the old girl back together and she runs smooth as butta!  Oh these LM Corvairs are nice.  BTW, I lubricated my new shiny bearings with synthetic grease - not AMSOIL cult stuff though, Valvoline syn-something or another....
