 I just checked to voltage to my Fitch coil. At idle it shows about 11.4. At cruise rpm it is just about 12. The resistor wire is still installed.
   
   I decided to run a straight 12 volt line. I know where the resistor wire is and how to eliminate or bypass it. Not being an electrician, my question is what guage wire should be used from the connector in the engine compartment to the coil? 
   
   I've got 10G (too big?) and 18G (too small?). I'll also replace the coil with a new 40,000 volt one.
