I would say the disk is worn in the center hole, actuator shaft area, not 
allowing enough force to overcome the magnetic field induced during operation.  
If not...all I can say is,


Sorry Charlie! Not today!  The solinoid is a victim of VOO DOO.....no other 
remedy than to "swap it out!"

Then take it to Buffalo and find some sucker to "swap it out" for a $5...say 
it works REAL  GOOD....
