ken, you are right about one thing the turbo will run hotter but not because it will have to work harder on the corvair but because that turbo is water cooled so its not going to work unless you can figure out how to keep it cool. that turbo will also need a boost controller since it has a wastegate that will need to be regulated.that turbo will support 400hp at 22lbs boost. it is a great turbo just not for the corvair, just too many things to make it work including custom adapters just to bolt it on. I  have alot of experience with the mistubishi and the 4g63 motor.i have been drag racing them for the past 6 years. If you want a badass turbo i would contact turbonetics,they can build you any spec turbo you want that is oil cooled and all you would need to do is make adapters.  curt
