<VV> right turn signal not working

I had a similar problem when my sedan came back from the painter. I found  
that the wire that goes into the socket was slightly out of position. It twists  
in place just like the bulb. The ground for the whole assembly is through the 
 hold down brackets. Check the ends of the brackets and the area of the body 
for  rust or dirt.
