<VV> Accelerator Cut in Carpet

Jay, I would be interested to see what comes of this. The accelerator is
easy. If you are looking at the pedal as you would if you were in the seat,
there is a nut on the lower left corner that bolts the pedal to the pivot
rod. Remove the nut and washer and just tap the accelerator off. Hint,
measure the distance from the rod to the front panel so that you have a
reference when you put it back in. If you already have carpet, just
duplicate what your existing carpet has, provided it looks nice.

Good luck,

Subject: <VV> Accelerator Cut in Carpet

I am getting ready to install my new carpet in my 67 coupe; I have a couple

of questions.

1) How does the accelerator come off - nothing in the shop manuals that I
can find.

2) What kind of a cut do I have to make for it - How much of the shaft is
actually on top of the carpet?

Thanks, Jay - '67 Monza
