I know that this has been beat to death and that one more email on the topic
will probably cause several people to quit in frustration, but I can't
resist.

I looked at the auction and noticed two things: first, Lon was right, he
only needed one sucker and he apparently got it because there's a bid. If
it was one of you, my apologies.

Second, I loved this response from our friendly seller:

"Q: Is it set up for a manual or automatic transmission? The engine number
would probably answer ALL the questions you'll be getting. The 140 hp engine
uses a slightly different crank gear for the automatic tranny, which is why
I'm asking for the engine number. Thanks!

"A: I can answer this question easily. It came with a manual tranny which I
can't find right now. To read the engine number would involve at least two
hours of labor for two phd's. If any of you would come up with the money, we
would gladly obliege."

So, how many PHDs does it take to screw in a light bulb....?

I assume that "obliege" is one of them fancy words what you learn at Pointy
Headed Degree school. I ain't got no Pointy Headed Degree, but I could find
the serial number on my motor in less than two hours. Then again, I could
also find my a** with both hands.
