<VV> rusty door pillar

Gentlemen,
I am looking to purchase my first corvair and I would like some professional 
opinions. The car in question is a 1965 Monza Convertible. The pass. rocker 
panel is swiss cheese and the door pillar has a break through hole below the 
lower hinge. Is this  a repairable situation? I can deal with floor pans, 
trunk floors and other typical areas of rust. Is this a rehabable car? Your 
help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to get over 
my head. The engine and trans have been recently rebuilt and does run well.
