Just for general information. When someone's E-clip falling off  allowed me 
to take a trophy at the Corsa Convention in Syracuse, I decided to  remove 
every C or E clip on a race car, drilling out the slot and installing  cotter pins 
instead. Spares are probably okay for a street car, but if time and  
finishing are important, change them over to cotter pins. - Seth  Emerson
