Harbor Freight has their non-contact "Laser" Temperature Gauge on sale for 
$40 and I have found it remarkably useful for everything from exhaust air 
temp, a/c outlet temp, coil temp, tire tread temp, and measuring the roof 
temp inside my garage in summer (133F one day). This is the lowest price I 
have seen for one.
