There are ceramic coat thermal barriers and dispersants.  The barriers are used on pistons, combustion chambers, turbo pipes and housings, etc., and the dispersants are used on cylinder fins and things like oil pans.  Our local guy is Finish Line Coatings, and he's done lots of work for me over the years.  Really good stuff.  www.finishlinecoatings.com
