Oh now Mark, that's harsh - it's not ugly.  A little nondescript maybe, but not ugly.  Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  I mean, do you realize there are actually people who LIKE the looks of the early model Corvair?  Takes all kinds I guess.  ;)
