<VV> Oil Pressure Relief Valve Question

First, let me state that I have ALL of the books and manuals, and I have 
looked in them, and the answer to this question is nowhere to be found.  
It is something that can only be answered by someone with actual 
experience doing this:

Can a relief valve be removed with the engine installed in the car?  If 
so, what needs to be removed to gain access?
