Well one difficulty is that pictures cannot be posted here as you can in
many forums (that the PTB have decided to stay in the last century is
another matter). This greatly limits the ability to answer (I have my own
hosting mechanism so can walk to the 70 degree garage, take a picture, and
put it online in a few minutes but not everyone can).
Another issue is copyright. Everything GM has published on the Corvair is
copyrighted so cannot just be reproduced. Again other clubs have gotten
permission to reproduce out of print manuals but Corsa has not yet (I am
working this but so far have not found the initial contact).
Finally, the answer is often complex or obscure and best covered in the
factory manual or a different book. More than possible in a few minutes by
a slow typist.
Personally, I don't know that much and most of that is what I am learning
about my 66 Monza but have years of finding the wrong things about cars in
general so try to help. Frankly my answering philosophy is a couple of
paragraphs plus a pointer to the real source. Is it too much to expect that
people who ask technical questions at least have the factory service manual
(and supplements) ? Compared to other makes, they are quite cheap.
