Yeesh....for those of you who figured out my links didn't
work......lets try again....I left out the //'s. Yeesh....
Well, finally did it. Put new wheels and tires on the '64. It's been a
long and painful decision, simply because I always over analyze
(according to Ryan anyway). In the end....scored a set of NOS chrome
reverse rims, in their original boxes, actually printed on the box
"Corvair"! which now have Cooper Cobra Radial GT's on them, in
195-70R-13. The rims are stock size pretty much..... 13 x 5.5 with 3
5/8" backspacing. These fit on my '64 Monza just fine. Between the new
tires and the new steering box, she drives like a charm. Photos?

And naturally the road test had to include a few donuts in the church
parking lot in the next town over (3 miles away..hate to get busted for
exhibition driving in my own town!). And Ryan jumped out for a
quicktime movie....14 megs..so if ya don't have a fast connection, I
wouldn't try it.....

Thanks to all who have entertained my many tire/wheel questions the
past few months, oh, and, excuse me if I repeat this post over on the
Corvair Center Phorum too....
