When GM was doing the wankel testing, they made a number of prototypes,
one of which was a white Monza that was supposed to have been Ed Cole's
car. I had a chance to buy the car, so I did and had it for a number of
years. The engine/trans was gone but the high tunnel necessary for the
high centerline of the rotary was still there. I was going to do a 215
alum V8 conversion. Had a chance to buy a GM wankel engine from a guy
that bought GM surplus but I figured "what would I say when asked
where it came from" so I did not- always wondered what if?? or where
do I get spares?
