<VV> Presley and Corvair

IF (a big one) you know who the selling dealer was (someone in the Memphis
area would be a likely place to start) and also IF they are still in
business (say under the family name), you might be able to track records
from that end, but it is a real long shot. This assumes the Protecto-Plate
is not in the glove box with the original buyer name on it. THAT would be
the quick way to determine YES or NO.
Short of that, you might see if Billy Miller is still alive and contact him.
He is a PI (or investigator of some sort) who claims to have had personal
contact with Elvis. See:
http://www.elvisinfonet.com/interview_billymiller.html
Perhaps he can give you details on the car which no one else is likely to
know (like where it was bought?) as he claims to have (his dad) worked on
it.
Someone else posted that they tried to track this down previously through
the TN DMV with no positive result. That COULD mean that they needed to
talk to someone who could/would actually make a valid attempt??? So, it
might be worth a second attempt.
Posting your question on VV was obviously a good place to inquire.
Good luck!
