All of this is starting to make my head hurt so I want to make a few statements and then I hope everyone will drop all of this.

1 - yes, I got mad about what was said - whether i should have isn't the issue.  I did and I am not sorry I did.  I felt insulted and so I responded in that way.

2 - I enjoy my car.  Yes I made a mistake and yes I am sure I will make more but it is the car I wanted and it is mine.  If I don't fit your idea of a Corvair owner, sorry.  I am the person I am and if you can't deal with that then I guess my suggestion to you is that you not reply to me.

3 - Someone suggested I say BITE ME at times.  I have no clue what this is in reference to but I do not see the need to say that.  On the other hand, if someone pushes me I won't promise you that I won't say something else.

4 -  I am not Pastor Bob, Hank, or any other guy that has been on here and left.  I am Roger from Illinois and have been my whole life.  If in your twisted ideas you want to believe that people have nothing better to do in life than write in an alias, maybe you should get off VV and go to Roswell and look for space aliens and wait on space ships as well.  All of that seems about the same in my simple mind.  

5 - As I said, I am a simple country guy who wants to enjoy the hobby of old cars.  Can we do that now?  I look forward to meeting many of you - to those who have replied in a less than repectable way please ignore me if we should meet along the way.

Now if you all do not mind, I would like to enjoy my new acquired hobby.  I have waited 61 years to have an old car - I do not want to spend my first few weeks of ownership worrying about things on the internet.
