If the octane is sufficient, the fuel mixture is ok after the chokes come
off, and the ignition is ok, then is the engine getting all the cooling it is
supposed to? Is it all sealed up on top so the only source of cooling air
comes from the louvers behind the read window? Is there a lost shop rag on one
bank of cylinders? Is the oil cooler clear of debris? Corvairs shouldn't
run poorly when they warm up--if they do (ping, lose power etc.) then something
isn't optimal.
