<VV> 4 post lift for corvair

I am looking to purchase a four post lift for my home garage.  Want it mostly to add an additional parking space as the collection is continuing to grow.  Also thought that it would make pulling the engine out a piece of cake (yes/no?) as I am contemplating a clutch and flywheel replacement this winter.
There seem to be dozens of manufacturers out there of these 4 post lifts. Prices are all over the place.  American made vs. China imports? I find it hard to compare quality and not get ripped off.
Does any one have some advise on purchasing a good 4 post lift for light home use?
