<VV> Oil Cooler Question

I seem to remember a comparison that was run on the performance of a folded fin Vs 8 and 12 plate oil cooler.

Can anyone please advise me if I am dreaming? 

The reason for asking is that I have a donor motor with the proper shroud and 12 plate cooler and am curious on what oil temperature impact this might have.

My stock motor is normally aspirated and has an 8 plate unit.
