<VV> What a difference MINUS 4,500 ft Elev. makes!

I've lived at sea level for decades...jetted rich and still the cars ran fine 
at Tahoe / Arrowhead / Flagstaff...6000-9000 ft.

Brought my 69 down from Alturas, Ca to Coos Bay yesterday.....pinging badly  
if lugging the engine at all [ 3.27's]  and rattled like crazy above 4000 rpm 
in 4th....level ground...

I'm running 32 deg. total advance @ 2500rpm with a VA  that doesn't start to 
pull in until 12" Hg.....with 87 octane  53  jets..

Tried mixing in 92..but still was there, only better....30 miles from home on 
my "test road"...so I plugged the VA....all is well again...
