B---s---! I have successfully installed the glove box insert from the
front. If your Late Model has A/C you practically have to install it this
way.

The glove box insert does indeed compress along the "Y" creases in the side
walls to allow the interior to be slipped in below & from behind the dash.
The upper left hand corner of gloveboxes w/ the lit interior option has a
rectangular tab of metal where the switch plunger lives, that prevents the
cardboard insert from being installed from the front. No amount of pushing
twisting or tweaking will get it past this feature. Pinch the sides of the
cardboard in while pressing down on the top & bottom. You'll be able to
compress the height about 7/8" to allow it to be easily slipped in from
underneath & behind. Once in, push the walls out to align with the holes in
the dash. Takes 5 minutes. Been there, done that.....3 weeks ago. Thanks for
