Mr. Witte,

Being that my 9-5 job includes R&D on aftermarket transmissions, I have
looked into this.  The main stumbling block, as always, is cost.  My best
guess is that it would cost in the neighborhood of $3-4,000 for "a"
transmission that would then require additional modifications to the body of
the car under the rear seat.

It is definitely do-able, just depends on the level of demand.
