<VV> Turbo # info and Mystery Head #

I have a '65 Turbo Convertible -Here's the scoop:
Build date - 6/29/65
VIN# 107675W282857
Turbo #3856709

Now, another mystery for you and the gang...
 
We have the engine torn down right now because of a dropped valve seat, and  
I am waiting for a pair of used heads from one of our VVers in VA. 
The stamped # on one side of the (old ) head is 3886762, which corresponds  
correctly to the Claypool Tech Guide, as a 180hp, 164 ci engine for a '65  
Turbo.
The other head has a # 3888568, which does not correspond to any number in  
the chart.
Is this a factory replacement part # or what?
We know that the engine was torn down and reworked at some point on the  
heads - we even found a mangled rod bearing down in the pan - but we'd like to  
know if the part # makes any sense.
