Smitty says: I don't understand all the controversy. If you are the competitive type and are obsessed with perfection then you should be allowed to trailer your car in order to preserve that perfection. If you are less able, like me, to afford a trailer and tow vehicle then you drive your car and take the heat. Hours under the car cleaning and sweating every bug and chip. When the perfection gets tired then put the car on display. Nobody puts a gun to your head to make you put it in concours. Quit whining. The world is not an equal place to live. I have never begrudged anyone who was more able to keep their car flaw free just cause they had more bucks to play with. I will not discuss the equitably of trailing or not trailing high point cars. Another point, I know two concours competitors very well who score in the 95-97 point area. Neither of them have 30,000 in their cars. Anyone who thinks there is any such thing as a 100,000 buck Corvair restoration is dead
wrong. So you want an award in the car display and resent someone bringing a trailered car. Go buy yourself a trophy and enjoy looking at his car. It has already been said by a couple of guys that they trailer their cars for family convenience. You think your car is pretty wonderful? then do a little honest one on one judging yourself and compare your car to his detail by detail. Maybe you find yours is better. Go buy yourself a trophy. It's a car display for crying out loud. You want to be competitive? Clean it up and put it in concours. Can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen CIC of BBRT and VV
