<VV> Buffalo Convention and a new CORSA Member

Hey All,
Been off for a while but I had to put my 2 cents in on
the Convention.

I brought my 18 year old son, Taylor, with me to
buffalo in our '62 Vette and we had a blast even
though we brought the wrong car. He's leaving for
Purdue next week so it was just a father and son
running amok kind of trip with no great expectations.

We were blown away. A lot of deserved ribbing about
being at the wrong convention along with a lot more
acknowledgement for my son and all his questions. We
saw about 200 more Corvairs than we thought we would
and both had the chance to flog the 'Vette in the
autocross (thanks!).

We met great people. Funny, dedicated, famous, you
name it. The result is Taylor joined CORSA (I bought),
picked up a Clark's catalog. Bought a set of 102hp
heads and yesterday found 4 untouched Corvairs in his
favorite junkyard where he proceeded to remove a '65
110hp engine.

I wish we could have stayed through saturday but we
hadd to get home friday night. The '62 held together
for 1200 miles and the autocross and, fittingly, blew
the water pump as we pulled into the driveway.

What a trip in a lot of ways! Thank you all for
introducing Taylor to the Corvair community!
