I may be giving an overview of my convention experience later, but I must 
respond to Bob.  I was in Albuquerque in 1996 when we did the Convention.  
My wife was the convention chair and I was the Concours chair and handled 
pre-registration as well as being the head go'fer.  We took absolutely no 
CRAP from CORSA because they offered none.  We took the position CORSA 
office and the CORSA convention committee knew how to put on a convention.  
We spent a lot of the phone with the CORSA office as well as a lot of emails 
back and forth.  We had a great relationship and at the end of it all I 
still consider the people from the CORSA office and the CORSA convention 
committee good friends.

Debbie and I would jump in and be involved in another convention in fact I 
jumped in when the concours chair took ill before the Tahoe convention and 
filled that position.  We are now in Colorado where the battles with the 
previous CORSA administrators (before Mike and Harry) while putting on the 
1981 convention still have such a bad taste in their mouth they won't even 
consider hosting another convention 25 years later.

The convention is a partnership between the host clubs and CORSA.  The more 
they work as partners, the better it works.

As for this convention the elevators could have worked better, the rooms 
could have been a little bigger, the card readers to get in and out of the 
parking garage could have worked better, but I got over all that.  Wasn't 
that the greatest hospitality area ever??? Plenty of room in the vendor 
area.  Good food at the banquet and the awards were given out pretty 
quickly. Saw most of or "annual friends" and made some more.  We had a great 
time.
