This new battery came wet from the Chevy dealer. That nomenclature probably has no modern relevance. Partscounterman did not add acid; said it had to come from Delco distributor that way because his parts department no longer shelves acid with the advent of maintenance free batteries. In fact, it was the first time he had seen push in caps for years.
