Thanks to everyone who responded to my oil slinger question. All went well except that one bolt hole for the rear cover stripped out before it got to 11 foot-pounds of torque. (GRRRR!) I removed the washer from the bolt and was able to grab a few threads deeper in the crankcase. Tightened it up as snug as I dared and called it close enough. If it doesn't leak I did good! Thanks again.
