Imagine you could install a failed unit without knowing and adjust it 
closed despite being open. Easy answer this time of year is just to pull 
the doors and leave the shrouds in place but nothing in the ends. Or pull 
the shrouds for max cool in a dry climate. Then there is no doubt.
