I believe torque multiplication starts out at 27 to 1  in LOW....up to 1.8 to 
1    then High = 1:1

You don't reverse rotate...just turn upside down...fab a new pan and pickup. 
Warren LeVeque did it....so did a few to make Vair 3-wheelers.
