Which part of the dash do you mean?  the main metal part?  It should be the same color as the rest of the metal parts in the interior, black it would seem in your case, but with less gloss.  The dash inserts are silver on a '65 except for Corsas which have the krinkle black.  The pad should match the color of the painted metal.

YELLOW, AND THE INTERIOR IS BLACK. THE DASH AT PRESENT IS BLACK PADDED AND
THE GAUGES AND THE GLOVE BOX ARE A SILVER COLOUR.  WHAT COLOUR AND WHAT
