<VV> tire pressure/vehicle weight

I've always heard the front end of a Vair weighs 600 lbs.  Don't know where 
that comes from or just what was being measured - from the center, forward? 
>From the "firewall" forward?  Maybe someone can enlighten (no pun intended) 
me on that?
