All theory aside... It WILL work fine. How do I know? I have a PG140 in a
manual trans car with a 110 clutch in front of a 3.08 axle. The clutch is rock
solid and I have never felt that it was in anyway weak or even noticeably
different than a 140 clutch (which is what's in my other two 140MT cars.) Oh,
did I mention that I live in a mountainous area? This combo slightly more
taxing that what you are planning.

<snip>Rats! I never gave much thought to this when I started swaping engines
between my cars but it just dawned on me that the pressure plate on a 110
engine likely wont be strong enough to work on a 140. Does anyone have any
experience in this? Anything else I need to buy for a successful 110 to 140
swap? I'm taking the 140 motor only from my '66 sedan with a PG and putting
it into my '66 coupe with a 4-speed.<unsnip>
