The phrase "Poor Man's Porsche" came up in this discussion, as did a 
mention of luggage space.

I've long thought of the Corvair not as the Poor Man's Porsche but as the 
Family Man's Porsche -- a Corvair has a reasonable back seat and reasonable 
luggage space while allowing the young family man of the '60s to have some 
motoring fun.

I think there is no such car today.
