I use an ordinary carpenter's claw hammer.
No kidding.
I place a substantial piece of padding on the painted surface, and pry the
wiper off. Takes approximately one second. Gotta hold the wiper arm while
doing this, or it will fly onto the car as it pops off -- that's how the
paint could get damaged.
Gotta get the tip of the hammer's claw under the end of the wiper arm,
only, not the post.
Have never damaged body or paint doing it this way, but you may want to
practice on your neighbor's beater before you try it on your show car.
