<VV> Mo No Hot Idle

800 rpm steady hot idle achievable - in Neutral. Hand over carb (& finger 
closing vent) has same effect on both sides. Timing (points) not changing. 
VA disconnected. Put in Drive and it fumbles a bit and dies. Would never 
notice in a stick car.

Did notice something odd about linkage. Went to WOT on right (engine off) 
with left carb unhooked. Left could not connect by about 10 turns of rod. 
Connects easily at idle. Could the geometry of the linkage be off ? Doubt 
if would have effect at idle.

ps used HZ readout on DVM to check idle. Figure 40 HZ = 800 Rpm but was 
reading 300 hz (6000 rpm) at est 2500 same as archaeic Dwell Tach. Spark 
scatter ? Distributor appears to be newly rebuilt. Need to dig out Sun machine.
