Thanks for the info Padgett.  Actually my question was rather generic.  I
have a Renault tach that is for a 4 banger.  Put it on my wife's Chevette
because she used to accuse me of over reving it.  Turns out I never did
turn it past 7000. gg   Anyway I thought with a little info I could
convert it to work on my racer.  I have a good many hrs of formal
education in electronics (back in the vacuum tube days) so the worst I
can do is wreck it.                                  Smitty
