Rick,
I bought an Audiovox CCS-100 from Summit ($90). It's a complete kit and can take its signal from the ignition coil (no magnets required). Haven't installed it yet though; there's a few internet articles about motorcycle installs etc. that will be helpful.
I'm thinking I might place the actuator out of sight up near the heater and activate the linkage at the transmission bellcrank.

I have been looking for an aftermarket cruise control to install and I
have encountered some stumbling blocks as most I am finding are designed
to interface with newer cars and do not have provisions for older
vehicles.
Has anyone recently installed a cruise control unit? Which did you use?
Where did you get it?
