<VV> tune up questions

Many folks feel that Platinum plugs do not work well with the old fashioned 
ignition systems we have.  Perhaps because they run too cold?  Most have had 
better luck with "regular" plugs.  However, I suspect, if you have an 
aftermarket CD system or equivalent, platinum's may be fine.
