did this engine turn before you took it apart?         if it did, check where 
you were working, a simple piece of dirt in a cam or crank gear,( i found a 
stone in one that came to me like that once) wrong bolt in flywheel? clutch?  
something sticking out like wrong length bolt in housing front or rear?  
retrace your work carefully...this from not knowing your working conditions or 
engine before you started on it...  missing any bolts? any left over?
