<VV> ANFSCD: Exhaust hanger

I just cannot see where the top bolt on the exhaust hanger is (1966 single 
exhaust), the metal seems to disappear up into the shroud. The only thing 
that looks like it is in the right place is the coil holder but that is a 
stud. The picture in Clarks on page 36 (C253R) shows a bolt hole on the top 
but does not look that big  Page 8-5 in the 65 FSM seems to indicate that 
the stud must be removed. Is this right ?
